GRUNGE & GLORY: Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis
Grunge entered high fashion in 1992 with Marc Jacobs’s now-infamous collection for Perry Ellis; he was fired from the label soon after. In the same year, Vogue published Stephen Meisel's seminal "Grunge & Glory" editorial in its December issue.
